We have created training materials to develop exceptional CHWs and CHWIs throughout the nation. These trainings dive into the eight core competencies of CHWs and CHWIs where students learn how to become valued healthcare professionals.

After certification, continued education is crucial to keep up-to-date on relevant topics that community health workers utilize every day.

Research Projects

We push ourselves to not only identify areas of need in our local community, but throughout the nation. We also collaborate with other colleagues from the Center for Community Health Development and Texas A&M School of Public Health to expand research interests.
