Welcome to the Center for Community Health Development’s National Community Health Worker Training Center (NCHWTC).

We are a Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) certified Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Center within the Texas A&M University Center for Community Health Development (CCHD).

Our center focuses on training CHWs, developing curriculum, engaging in research and evaluation, and providing technical assistance. With over a decade of experience to date, the NCHWTC seeks to build upon our history of successes by continuing to strengthen capacity and build healthier communities through the training of well-equipped CHWs/promotores.

This website has resources for current students in our training courses, potential partners and collaborators, and others interested in CHW activities and information. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of service.
